Time flies faster than you think it does. By the time you are reading this, we would have been through the first thirteen days or 3.56% of the New Year. There is no denying this fact. Did you feel how quickly these first 2 weeks passed by? Ok, I know you get the point that time flies and that we have very limited time.
Now ask yourself these few questions.
1. What do I want to build /create /achieve this year?
If you have not written this down, take some time to meditate over this and write it.
2. What do I want to let go of?
This question is as difficult as letting go of old clothes we never wear from our wardrobes.
But as Lin Yutang said – The Wisdom of Life consists in the elimination of the Non-Essentials.
What are the Non-Essentials in my personal and professional life then?
Meditate over this question a bit longer.
3. What do I need to do daily to achieve my goals? What needs to happen for each day to be a Masterpiece? (Hint – New Day Resolutions)
Fast Forward – Imagine it’s 31st December 2023 or the end of the New Year.
Were you able to build what you had written you would?
What went right?
What did not go well?
Were you able to let go of the non-essentials?
If you had a chance to course-correct now, what would you do?
Answering these questions sincerely and doing this review is an amazing exercise.
I have benefited immensely from doing this each year and I hope you do too.
