Something Powerful to Learn from Air Pods
I saw this chart sometime in 2021. It absolutely blew my mind.
Did you know Apple’s revenue from AirPods was $23.05 billion in 2020? This was as high as Netflix, 25% lower than Tesla’s and almost equal to that of Uber, Spotify and Shopify combined.
What did you learn from this data?
If there is one thing to learn, it’s the power of focus (and scale).
In our industry/profession, most people want to do everything. We want to do mutual funds, stocks, PMS, life insurance, general insurance, home loans, real estate, international investments, tax, wills, legal, financial planning, and every possible thing.
At the same time, we want to do this for everyone. We want to please everyone. We don’t want to say “NO” to anyone.
This is a recipe for lower growth, higher costs, operational inefficiency, and overall mediocrity.
Make FOCUS your priority this financial year and beyond.
If so, what are you going to Focus on and more importantly, what are you going to say “NO” to?
