The answers to these questions should guide you in any situation whether business or life.
The 2 simple questions are:
- What to do next?
Let us imagine you were playing the Mumbai Indians match instead of the young Ishan Kishan and you had to score 90 runs in 5 Overs. What would you do? I am sure he said to himself “Forget everything else. What do I need to do next?” He did not worry about failure or success. He just did what was supposed to be done next. Focus on one ball at a time and do the best you can. This is what Champions do. Whether they won the match or not was less important, the fact that he acted like a world class player at age 22 is all that matters (and to be adopted).
Now coming back to reality, there are these enormous balls of changes and challenges thrown at you at high speed. Forget about everything else and ask yourself “What to do next?” and Do it. How to do?
This is what separates the best from the average ones. Just because you are conducting a meeting with a client does not mean you know the best way to do it. Just because you do financial planning does not make you an outstanding financial planner. It is the same as playing cricket and playing cricket like Ishan Kishan.
The day you understand the difference is the day you will focus on being the best version of yourself.
Like I have written previously, You are the Product. So, Be the Best Version of Yourself.
