Philosopher Eric Hoffer wrote, “In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”
I simply love this line…How deep is it?
Read the line again. Meditate over it.
Aren’t these lines true for our industry/profession?
Things have changed exponentially in our industry/profession and things will continue to change; business models are changing; client expectations are changing.
But many financial professionals are beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.
What about you?
Have you prepared yourself and your team for the future?
You don’t need to be ready for change. No one really is because change is always discomforting. You simply need to act.
There is a Gail Sheehy quote that comes to mind – “Events that demand a leap of action before we are ready often have the happy effect of boosting us on to the next stage of development in spite of ourselves.”
Therefore, Just Learn It NOW.
