We all have To Do Lists.
They are such an important part of what we do daily. They are important but an even more important one or rather a Superpower is to have a NOT To Do List.
You cannot imagine the magical powers of this list.
So, what is this NOT To Do List?
It is a list of things that you do regularly but something that you should not be doing.
A few things that can be a part of your NOT To Do List are:
a. Check Messages every 5-10 minutes (even when you are in meetings). Some people have their attention on the phone during important conversations and meetings too.
b. Another extension of point a. is Checking the phone regularly.
c. Picking up calls during meetings. I have never understood this. Many people in our industry /profession behave like they have received a Do or Die call during a meeting. They get up and leave for every call they receive from the client. The client will understand that you are in a meeting.
d. Wasting Time being busy. I have written a lot on this including a Nano about Playing Office Office.
e. Say “Yes” to everything that takes away your time.
What would you like to NOT DO?
