Given the choice between great workflows or great technology, what would you bet the future of your firm on?
I asked the above question to many distributors and advisors. Many said, “technology any day”.
My vote goes to both, but workflows first and then technology in that order.
A great client experience is first a function of world class workflows and processes. Technology is the layer that comes on top of it. Rather it always comes second.
If you don’t get this order right, the Joel Bruckenstein quote below will be the outcome of anything you do on the technology front.
“If you have great technology and crappy workflows, all you have done is automate crappy workflows”.
What about your workflows? Are they crappy or truly world class or somewhere in between?
